 Preschool learning is so much fun.  Play stations make up the classroom and children move from station to station learning different things through play.  Understanding this, we have created a variety of learning mats that encourage different types of learning. Here is the first learning mat: Hopscotch Learning Mat This mat is a colorful hopscotch game.  It has the numbers 1 - 10 on one side, and the numbers 11 - 20 on the other. Not only do children learn there numbers, they learn movement, balance and colors too.   Activity 1: Play Hopscotch.  Start at the lowest number, 1 or 11.  The rows that have a single number are hopped on with one foot, while the rows with two numbers are hoped on with two feet, one on each number.  Saying the numbers as they go helps children learn numbers in order.  Flip the mat over to have children practice the numbers 11 - 20.
